What I've learned just in the first week of class
- Carrie Walsman, January 6th, 2023

I'm currently taking a class at BYU-1 called Intro. to Entrepreneurship.
The first week of class we watched several videos and articles.

It starts with dreaming big but starting with small steps.
The course purpose is to learn practical life lessons and fundamental business tools required to become a successful entrepreneur, and according to the syllabus. With the main focus of the of the course is developing your life plan first before a business plan.

We are going to be analyzing the types of entrepreneurship career paths, Evaluate personal fit for a career, and develop connections with entrepreneurial mentors.

Where do you get started?
" Becoming an entrepreneurial hero is about taking responsibility for yourself and turning big dreams into step-by-step realities." - Jeff Sandefer Living Life as an Entrepreneurial Hero

One of the pieces we study this week is called "Living Life as an Entrepreneurial Hero" by Jeff Sandefer

It talks about several good points that take part in starting to become and creating an entrepreneur mindset.

The article talks about never giving up, and making one hard decision  at a time, and pressing forward at all times.
Some of great points that were made in the article are.

- Dreaming Big
- Learn to fail quickly, cheaply, often.
- Choose your fellow travelers well
- Will it be worth it in the End?
- Taking Your Life in Hand.

Have the courage to take the first step, develop good habits, learn how to fall, and remember your purpose.

Another good quote that was said in the article was...

" First we make our habits, then our habits make us." - Charles Noble

Summary

If it was easy everyone will do it. There are challenges that you will face, but you need to press forward. It takes courage, and grit to keep going and to get started.
