Reflection: Week 2

Create a Life of Meaning

Here's what I learned in this weeks of studying in week 2
- Carrie Walsman

"It’s not about how to achieve your dreams, it’s about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way the karma will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you. " - Randy Pausch

I loved watching Randy Pausch's Last Lecture.
To provide context Randy Pausch is a computer science professor, and has pancreatic cancer and expects to live just a few more weeks or months.
The part that stuck out to me the most during the video lecture was when he went to apply to Disney and got rejected, but then goes on to continue to say this. "So that was a bit of a setback. But remember, the brick walls are there for a reason, right? The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to  show how badly we want something."

There will be opportunities  in life that we might try super hard to achieve or feel like we deserve but then we might hit a wall too. The wall is there to show us how badly we want something, if something great and easy everyone would do it.
I learned to strive even though walls might come into our path.

One of my Childhood dreams is to own a Samoyed, and it's still a dream its a dream that I hoping I can achieve by this year. The set backs are is I still live at home with my family and to in order to get a dog I have to at least be in my own house. I'm currently working on ways to be able get the puppy by making steps on how to earn enough money so I can move out and be on my own.
