Week 5 Reflection

 "A Hero's Journey"

Week 05 Reflection.
- Carrie Walsman

This week we got to listen to one of my now Top 5 Talks which was "A Hero's Journey".
The talk was 22 minutes but it didn't take long for the speaker to grab your attention.
I would like to talk about 2 main points that ended up grabbing my attention. The first quote that stuck out to me was.

"It’s all about you because using your gifts to change the world will change you in the process and you will realize you serve a force in the universe that is far bigger than you are."

In the speech he tells the listeners to go ask 10 people what your best at. The goal here is to help find your talent and in doing that also your purpose. Talents a purpose line up fairly well. Lets break down the quote. its all about you using your gifts (talents) to change (serve) the world and in the process you will realize you serve a force (God) in the universe that is far bigger than you are. By using the talents that Heavenly Father has blessed us that is when we realize we are serving a force (Him) that is far bigger than you, and what a great feeling that is.

It's hard to know and figure out your purpose but that's why he says to go ask ten people what you are best at, to help figure out. God gave us talents for a reason, and our purpose is to first figure out what they are and then next figure out how we are going to use them to change the world. Which may sound pretty intimidating at first.

The next quote I love is....

"You have a very special mission on this earth. A mission that will succeed beyond your wildest dreams, if you have the faith and the courage to find your entrepreneurial calling."

How amazing is it to know that we have a special mission on this earth? It gives our life a new meaning with a new outlook and view. In the talk to highlight the importance of the line he declares. "
Let me say that again, I believe that you have a very special mission on this earth. A mission that will succeed beyond your wildest dreams, but only if you have the faith and courage to find that entrepreneurial calling.

Which is a great thing to end on to just let it sink and soak in.
